Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Capital Delivery team in the UK. You will lead major, high-value capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety and benefits are managed effectively.

You'll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage delivery partners and contractors, engage with senior stakeholders, and drive governance, budgeting and risk controls to deliver outcomes that support our strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering major infrastructure or capital projects.
• Strong governance, risk and financial management skills.
• Able to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of major, high-value capital projects.
• Own project planning, governance, cost, schedule, risk and performance.
• Act as escalation point for complex delivery, commercial and stakeholder issues.
• Manage contracts and supplier relationships across the lifecycle.
• Drive financial control, forecasting and budget management.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with internal teams and external organisations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with appropriate governance and assurance.
• Support business case development and investment decisions.
• Provide technical guidance to Project Managers and Coordinators.
• Ensure smooth transition into operational business-as-usual.
