Qualifications

• Experience with cloud migrations (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong ITIL, Agile, and DevOps understanding.
• PM certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or cloud certs.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of IT infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with senior stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans including resources, budget, risk, and schedule.
• Manage cross-functional teams of network engineers, system admins, cloud architects, and security specialists.
• Oversee migration from on-prem to cloud with minimal disruption.
• Ensure ITIL, security standards, and regulatory requirements compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement, contracts for hardware, software, and cloud services.
• Monitor performance, track metrics, and provide status reports to management.
• Identify risks and implement contingency plans.
• Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders and manage expectations.

About the Role

Our client, a leading enterprise solutions provider, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee critical IT infrastructure and cloud migration projects. This role is pivotal in managing the deployment of robust and scalable IT environments for various business units. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network infrastructure, data center operations, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), coupled with exceptional project leadership capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure and cloud computing projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, budget management, risk assessment, and scheduling.
• Manage cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, cloud architects, and security specialists.
• Oversee the migration of on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
• Ensure all IT projects comply with industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and contract negotiations for hardware, software, and cloud services.
• Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and provide regular, comprehensive status reports to management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective contingency plans.
• Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Proven experience managing cloud migration projects (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure deployments.
• Excellent understanding of ITIL frameworks, Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
• Ability to manage complex technical projects and lead diverse teams.
• Willingness to work in a Hybrid capacity, requiring regular presence in Randburg, Gauteng .
