Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking a Lead Project Manager to deliver the Banniskirk Hub within the PATHWAY TO 2030 programme. You will oversee civil works, substations, and a broad field team, travel regularly to the north of Scotland, and report to the Deputy Project Director.

The role requires extensive NEC3 contract experience, strong leadership and stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering large energy infrastructure safely and on time.

Qualifications

• Experience leading project teams on large infrastructure (£100m+).
• Strong NEC3 contract negotiation and administration experience.
• Outstanding communication skills and governance knowledge for large projects.
• Engineering, construction or PM degree; professional membership/registration preferred.
• Experience delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Deliver £500m+ civil, building, substation and logistics packages within HVDC project.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary project team and manage interfaces with contractors/consultants.
• Maintain safety performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide strong commercial leadership and NEC3 contract management.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, stakeholders and communities.
