Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead highways and infrastructure projects for our Gloucestershire client under GCC. Based in the client’s office, you’ll drive delivery from conception to construction, ensuring programme and budget controls while mentoring less-experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civils/Highways project management or business administration and financial planning.
• Experience managing a range of project management activities, systems (including ERP) and processes.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Construction Design Management 2015 and associated duties.
• Experience in project and resource management with good financial and commercial awareness.
• Knowledge of NEC 4 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the project management process, encouraging teams to deliver the right solutions on programme and mentoring less experienced staff.
• Prioritise client satisfaction by building and maintaining strong GCC relationships and coordinating with colleagues for mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Manage resources effectively (including remote resources) to meet varying workloads.
• Work with clients and design teams to deliver compliant designs on time and within budget, meeting H&S, CDM, QA and technical review requirements.
• Develop relationships with other WSP teams to utilise additional resources as required.
• Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
• Produce project controls reports to meet client and business requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and implement stakeholder management plans.
• Ensure invoicing and cash collection aligns with business processes.
