Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Project Manager in Chelmsford, UK. You will lead a cross-functional team of 10+ engineers and technicians, delivering complex projects for space-related and other high-reliability markets.

You’ll drive scheduling, risk management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring on-time, on-cost delivery while improving governance processes across the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects through lifecycle from bid to production.
• Energising teams to meet critical timescales and deliver results.
• Ability to manage customer expectations and avoid scope creep.
• Strong understanding of risk management in projects.
• Clear, persuasive communication across all levels.
• Good problem solving capabilities and sound judgment.
• Proficiency in MS Project / MS Project Server or similar tools; SAP knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and manufacturing staff to deliver projects on time, cost and quality.
• Apply project management processes and ensure adherence to governance.
• Mentor junior roles and drive target achievement.
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders to align goals.
• Maintain detailed project schedules in MS Project and publish updates.
• Define Phase Gate Reviews and ensure timely execution.
• Clarify project scope with customers and internal teams.
• Identify risks and dependencies; seek timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Finance to monitor budget and risk exposure.
• Prepare dashboards and present status to Senior Leadership monthly.
• Work with BD, Engineering and Programme Directors on technical and commercial solutions.
