North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of large-scale transformation projects. You will collaborate with senior colleagues and partners to ensure successful outcomes, shaping governance and decision-making processes.
You will also coach colleagues delivering change and work within a cross‑functional Projects and Programmes team to keep initiatives on track and aligned with strategic goals.
Hybrid working – a combination of home working together with a minimum of 2 days per week in an office base at one of ourlocal transformation hubs at Northallerton, Harrogate, Scarborough and Selby.

The Role
In this role, you’ll take the lead on planning and implementation of large-scale, complex projects (and on occasion programmes) that make a real difference. You’ll work closely with a wide range of senior colleagues and partners, both inside and outside the organisation, to ensure everything runs smoothly and successfully.
You’ll play a key role in shaping project governance, mapping out clear routes for decision‑making, and planning with precision to keep everything on track.
As part of our Projects and Programmes team, you’ll also support and coach others involved in delivering change, helping them grow and succeed.
