Job summary

Altrad are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major civil engineering projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence and quality. The role involves coordinating cross-site teams and managing procurement, suppliers and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, significant lifecycle project experience, NEC4 knowledge, and chartership progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Significant experience managing major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing projects through full lifecycle from design to handover.
• Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and project delivery.
• Experience managing cost, risk, change and programme.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors and consultants.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
• Chartered or working towards chartership.
• NEC4 ECC Project Manager accreditation, or willingness to achieve it.

About The Role

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the team.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The nuclear defence sector in the UK is vital for maintaining national security and strategic stability. It offers dynamic and challenging career opportunities for individuals committed to contributing to the country's defence and security. Working Pattern: 3 days per week in Glasgow, with travel to other sites as required, including Plymouth, Cumbria and across Scotland.

Key Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience managing major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from design through to handover.
• Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and project delivery.
• Experience managing cost, risk, change and programme.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors and consultants.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
• Chartered or working towards chartership.
• NEC4 ECC Project Manager accreditation, or willingness to achieve it.

Desirable

• SMSTS or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering civil engineering, infrastructure or defence projects.
• APM qualification or equivalent project management experience.
• Experience using contract administration systems such as CEMAR.
