The Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee financial and business management within a key digital transformation programme. This role involves leading the Programme Management Office, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and managing complex financial information while collaborating with various stakeholders.

We have an exciting opportunity to be involved in the strategic planning and business management of the largest digital transformation programme within the Environment & Business directorate. The Regulatory Services Programme is responsible for delivering digital services that will transform how the Environment Agency regulates.
You will lead within the Programme Management Office (PMO), providing valuable input into the financial and business management of the Programme to support risk mitigation, issue resolution, and barrier removal, ensuring alignment with the business case and value for money.
We are looking for someone with a strong track record in managing complex financial information, collaborating with others to drive value for money, and influencing ongoing investment.
The Digital, Innovation, and Programmes team is responsible for the Digital Strategy and its implementation across E&B, setting the strategic direction for digital services that transform regulation.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team, alongside Defra shared services and third-party suppliers, to shape delivery of user-centered online services and digital platforms that are more efficient, simpler, and faster to use.
Beneficial but not essential:
You’ll have an incident management objective in your development plan, with support and training provided.
