Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Finance Systems

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Alderley Edge or Edinburgh

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering change to our Accounting and Actuarial systems to support the achievement of the Group strategy. You will ensure business outcomes are clearly understood and solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

You will oversee the entire change lifecycle for projects involving both Business and Technical changes.

About the role

• Manage complex change initiatives across multiple lines of business.
• Link financial or actuarial system changes to upstream projects.
• Support Finance in planning and shaping solutions.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues during projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to define objectives and success criteria.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders and management.
• Promote continuous improvement by streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.

About you

• Experience with projects involving finance systems, with the ability to understand technical actuarial and financial language.
• Experience in release management, especially around the six-monthly actuarial release plan.
• Experience in data migration is desirable for supporting multiple migration projects.
• Proficiency in planning tools and financial control frameworks.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence change and improve performance in cross-functional teams.
• Life and Pensions experience is a plus but not essential.
