Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Centre Senior Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure and cloud platform projects from initiation through closure.

You will manage scope, budget, timelines and maintain strong customer relationships. You will work with architects, engineers and cloud teams to ensure design and delivery alignment, build and lead project teams, manage risks and dependencies, and contribute to the sales cycle as required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT infrastructure and cloud platform projects.
• Hands-on experience managing VMware Cloud Foundation upgrades or similar virtualised environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data centre technologies and hybrid cloud architecture.
• Project management accreditation (Prince2, Agile).
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Familiarity with latest technologies and ability to explain benefits, including VMware stack: vSphere, ESXi, vSAN, NSX.
• Strong financial and contractual management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end complex projects or lead a medium size portfolio.

As a Data Centre Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead complex, high-risk projects or major workstreams within larger programmes. You’ll ensure successful delivery from planning through to completion, managing scope, budget, and timelines while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will also have proven experience of working with virtualisation technologies inc. VMware.
