Our client, a specialist security integrator and part of a wider group, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of enterprise-level security installations across central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction-savvy project professional to take ownership of high-value projects while working with cutting-edge security technologies.
As Senior Project Manager, you'll take full accountability for delivering complex security system installations from inception to completion. Working predominantly on-site in central London, you'll manage projects valued at £1M and above across government, commercial, retail, education and healthcare sectors. This role requires strong profit and loss experience alongside hands-on construction site management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
Manage the complete project lifecycle for Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm installations
Plan and coordinate project programmes including labour, materials, subcontractors and dependencies
Control project budgets, maintain cost-to-complete forecasts and manage variations
Provide daily on-site management and supervision of engineers and subcontractors
Act as primary client contact throughout project delivery and attend progress meetings
Review and approve technical submittals, drawings and system designs for compliance
Implement project management controls, monitor KPIs and align processes across departments
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety Policies and CDM Regulations
Support the commercial team in client meetings and attend industry events
Essential:
Minimum 3 years' experience managing Electronic Security Systems project delivery
Proven track record delivering projects with contract values exceeding £1M
Experience managing enterprise security systems across commercial, critical infrastructure, data centre, government or corporate environments
Strong technical knowledge of Access Control, CCTV, Video Surveillance, Intruder Detection and Intercom Systems
Experience with enterprise platforms such as Genetec, LenelS2, Gallagher, CCURE, Milestone or Axis
Demonstrated ability managing project programmes, budgets, procurement, subcontractors and commercial performance
Good understanding of CDM Regulations, health & safety requirements and construction project delivery
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent project management qualification
SMSTS certification
Experience working within high-security environments
Knowledge of network infrastructure, IP-based security systems and cyber security principles
Experience delivering projects under JCT, NEC or similar contract forms
NSI, CSCS, ECS or other industry qualifications
Familiarity with BIM, Smart Buildings and integrated building technologies
Experience managing multi-site, national or international security projects
