Job summary

Procentia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex client and internal projects from scoping through go-live and early-life support.

The role combines strong delivery leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on management to ensure outcomes are delivered to a high standard, on time, and aligned with client and organisational objectives.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of delivery experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects.
• Proven leadership of software implementations from initiation to go-live.
• Strong planning and governance, including RAID management and dependency control.
• Excellent stakeholder management with executive-level communication.
• Commercial and financial awareness including budgeting and change control.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of implementation consultants, business analysts, developers, testers and release managers.
• Work with clients to agree delivery requirements, milestones and governance.
• Lead projects worth £3m or multiple smaller deliveries.
• Write a PID and run project kick-off meetings.
• Develop and maintain a project plan in MSP.
• Adhere to PMO standards and internal governance.
• Coordinate with offshore contributors.
• Run regular project progress meetings via Teams.
• Produce project reporting to PMO standards.
• Prepare for and present at monthly project steering meetings.
• Maintain a Project RAID log, action log and P&L tracking.
• Keep the project on schedule and within budget; manage scope.
• Track burn-down, identify risks, manage escalations.

The Job

Our Senior Project Managers play a critical role in the successful delivery of complex client and internal projects, with accountability from initial scoping through to go-live and early-life support.

Their role combines strong delivery leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on project management to ensure outcomes are delivered to a high standard, on time, and in line with client and organisational objectives.

Acting as a trusted delivery partner, you'll work closely with clients and internal teams to translate requirements into structured, achievable delivery plans, while building strong and effective working relationships across stakeholders at all levels.

Here's What You'll Be Doing

• Managing a team (size varies with project size, and as a senior PM you'll get the bigger more complex ones or multiple deliveries to manage at the same time) of implementation consultants, business analysts, developers, testers and release managers
• Working closely with our clients to agree delivery requirements, milestones, governance, and agreed ways of working
• Working on projects worth upwards of £3m or multiple smaller deliveries
• Writing a Project Initiation Document (PID) and running project kick off meetings
• Developing and maintaining a project plan in MSP
• Operating within PMO standards and Procentia Ways of Working, adhering to internal governance and mainting those standards throughout delivery
• Working in a consortium with offshore contributors
• Running regular (usually weekly) project progress meetings (via Teams); internal and external
• Producing project reporting in line with Procentia's PMO standards
• Preparing for and presenting at regular (usually monthly) project steering meetings
• Maintaining a Project RAID log, action log and Profit & Loss tracking
• Keeping the project on schedule, within budget, and as per agreed scope
• Tracking burn down rates, identifying risks and issues, owning escalations and managing them to a high level of competence

Key Skills And Experience

• Extensive delivery experience (8-12 years), with a strong track record managing complex projects and multi-workstream projects end-to-end
• Proven leadership of software implementations, from initiation through to go-live and post-implementation support
• Strong planning and governance capability, including RAID management, dependency control, and structured delivery frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to engage, influence and present confidently at senior/executive level
• Commercial and financial awareness, including budget management, forecasting, and control of scope and change
