Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Project Manager in Stevenage to define, plan and deliver medium to large size contracts/programmes. The role offers a dynamic hybrid working pattern with 2-3 days on-site, and a salary in the region of £50,000-£56,000 dependent on experience.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risk, engage stakeholders and drive projects from inception through delivery, with opportunities to develop professionally within a collaborative defence environment.

Qualifications

• Project / Programme Management experience, ideally in a matrix organisation.
• Strong risk management skills and experience.
• Sound business judgement and ability to solve complex problems.
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• Ability to embrace new challenges and deal with ambiguity.
• Experience leading projects from a business perspective, including EVM and schedule risk assessments.

Stevenage A Great opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to define, plan and deliver medium to large size contracts/programmes.

Salary: Circa £50,000- 56,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

• Project /Programme Management experience - ideally gained in a matrix organisation
• Strong risk management skills and experience
• Sound business judgement including an appreciation of complex problems and how to solve them
• Strong communication and motivational skills
• Ability to embrace new challenges and deal with a level of ambiguity
• Experience of leading projects from a business perspective, including EVM, schedule adherence and schedule risk assessments.
• Bidding & estimating experience
• Negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships and work collaboratively across various levels and with internal and external collaborators
• Drive and motivation in leading project teams to strive for excellence in the face of adversity
• Engage, share standard methodology and find opportunities for innovation
