Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a major bridge rebuilding initiative, overseeing the project from planning through completion. You will ensure safety, quality, and environmental responsibility while coordinating with engineers, contractors, and local authorities.

The role offers a Monday–Friday, work-from-home pattern with occasional office and site visits. Excellent leadership and a track record in delivering large infrastructure projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing major infrastructure projects, especially complex civil works.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills with a proven track record of delivering on schedule and within budget.
• Degree in civil engineering or project management, with relevant professional certification.
• Knowledge of UK highways standards and bridge construction practices is highly valued.

Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager serves as the principal leader for the bridge rebuilding project, representing the client's interests at every stage. This position is responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, beginning with initial planning and design and continuing through to final completion. The Senior Project Manager ensures that the bridge meets all required standards for safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, engineers, and local authorities is essential, with clear communication and effective stakeholder engagement being key priorities.
