Job description

Giacom is the only provider of Comms, Cloud, Hardware and Billing through one platform.

Our platform connects technology resellers and service providers to the best IT, Comms and Cloud products and services so they can create brilliant technology solutions for UK businesses.

The Senior Project Manager role is part of our Strategic Projects Team, focusing on delivering a portfolio of strategic initiatives that support Giacom's future growth and ambitions. This team plays a critical role within the organisation and reports directly to the Executive Team.

This role reports directly to our Head of Business Projects and involves overseeing the development and implementation of a variety of strategic projects while championing excellence across the delivery organisation. The role will be responsible for some of Giacom’s most complex change projects and therefore will require depth in experience and maturity, as well as the ability to appropriately tailor the project management approach to meet the needs of the projects.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic team player with a strategic mindset, who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about driving business change and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the delivery of multiple strategic projects simultaneously, collaborating across all business functions to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Developing and managing all project artefacts across the entire delivery lifecycle.
  • Maintaining a clear view of project status, progress, plans, dependencies, budgets and forecasts, communicating effectively with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Defining project scope and deliverables in alignment with the requirements of sponsors, business leads and key stakeholders.
  • Identification of benefits associated with each project and provide a mechanism and clear path through to realisation

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Significant experience working in a fast-paced delivery environment.
  • A proven track record of delivering transformative business change projects involving operational improvement, IT modernisation and optimisation, and business mergers and integrations.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive synergies through technology modernisation, capable of identifying opportunities and planning effectively to deliver results.
  • Managing project financials, including the development of the business case, estimates, budgets, risks and forecasts for both OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Experience in managing a variety of strategic change projects through all the phases of the project management life cycle.
  • Experience in multiple project delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile and hybrid)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, combined with a hands-on approach to stakeholder management.
  • Project Management of post M&A projects would be beneficial

What's in it for you?

  • Flexible working - Whilst based close to either of our Nelson or Hessle offices, there will be some home working available
  • No dress code - embrace the freedom to bring your whole self to work.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. You'll even get your birthday off, too!
  • A pension plan for your future.
  • Complimentary refreshments in all our offices.
