Duration: 6 months, extensions likely

Location: Solihull/Hybrid (once to twice per week requirement in the office)

Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a passion for driving impactful change in public services? Our client is seeking three dynamic Senior IT Project Managers to join their team in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex, high-profile projects that make a difference in the community!

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take charge of defining, documenting, and completing complex projects. Your role will involve:

• Leading internal delivery teams and managing external partners/suppliers.
• Ensuring effective project control, change control, and risk management.
• Monitoring resources, revenue, and capital costs against project budgets.
• Managing stakeholder expectations and providing regular updates to the Portfolio Manager.
• Overseeing Digital Project Managers and Junior Project Managers in your team.

What We’re Looking For:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• Significant experience in digital project management and IT Change initiatives.
• Strong skills in managing senior business relationships and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Prince2 or APM.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time while maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Essential Qualifications:

• Significant project experience or Digital Project management of IT Change and IT projects
• Strong experience in dealing with senior business users, determining delivery scope and priorities as well as resolving issues
• Skills and knowledge acquired through Development, Technical Design, or Technical Project Management
• Good understanding and knowledge of Project Management, Change Management
• Foundational understanding of Systems Integration, Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies, Quality Assurance and Testing, Requirements Gathering, and Systems Analysis and Design
• Proven history and track record of completing quality technology projects on time
• Proven ability to plan IT work-packages/projects, building delivery backlogs, progress monitoring including budget control and milestone control; issue and risk management
• Excellent presentation skills and strong negotiation skills • Ability to anticipate and build contingency plans
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism
• Ability to multi-task efficiently
• Good Project Management skills including: Estimating, Scope Management, Budget Management, Work-package Planning, Time Management, Risk Management, Change Management, Issue/Conflict Resolution, Communication Management, Quality Management, Testing Plans, Training Plans, Team Management
• Experience managing teams delivering IT work-packages/projects and involving multiple software application integrators
• Knowledge of application development and system architecture.

Additional Information:

• Candidates must be willing to undergo BPSS security clearance; SC may be necessary in some cases.
