Senior project managers ensure the successful implementation of projects and programmes by applying project management principles and methods.

IN SHORT

Senior project managers ensure the successful implementation of larger projects and programmes by applying company project management principles and methods. They are jointly responsible for the planning, implementation, follow-up, and completion of projects. They manage the project team, resources, budget, and schedule to achieve the project's objectives and results. Project managers must ensure project completion on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. They support the lead project manager in defining standards and in training (junior) project managers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  1. Project Planning & Reporting: Develop and maintain project plans, and provide regular reports on progress and alignment with project executives for complex projects.
  2. Project Compliance: Ensure projects meet budget, time, and quality requirements, including cost controlling and budget monitoring.
  3. Initiation & Execution: Start up and initiate projects based on IT product demands, and manage the operational execution of projects.
  4. Delivery & Readiness: Deliver the end product of the project, including confirming operational readiness with application owners for handover.
  5. Project Closure: Manage project closure, ensuring all deliverables and documentation are complete.
  6. Resource & Budget Planning: Plan and allocate resources, align with processes (e.g., DRB, Group Prioritization Process), and handle budget planning in annual and mid-year cycles.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • Understanding of Business Requirements. Proven record of managing complex IT projects.
  • Expertise in project management frameworks, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and mentoring.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in project management, good time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Structured way of working.
