Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications, and more.

Opticore IT is currently searching for a Senior Project Manager to join one of our Financial Services clients to support data centre consolidation preparation. This is a hybrid position, but you will be required to attend the office up to 2 days a week, based in London.

This is a 6-month contract inside IR35, which is highly likely to be extended.

What you'll be doing:

• DC consolidation preparation planning work.
• Work with the business to explore consolidation options.
• Present options to the business and senior management, documenting the justification and potential cost savings of the consolidation.
• Assist in developing the business case to secure budget approval.
• Begin initial consolidation planning.

What you'll bring:

• Experience with business case development.
• Able to accurately assess project priorities and pressures, and plan accordingly.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present and communicate effectively.
• A structured thinker capable of solving problems through a methodical approach.
• Flexible, energetic, motivated, with the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Good financial skills for business case development and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
