Location: Ipswich

Join the exciting journey of one of the UK's largest nuclear projects at Sizewell C! The Sizewell C (SZC) project requires a Senior Project Manager to join the Civil Works Alliance, driving the delivery of the Enabling and Earthworks functions.

The role involves providing leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the Enabling works scope as part of the overarching Civils Programme of SZC, while managing the impacts on the wider project. The Senior Project Manager will develop strategies to deliver the Enabling works within cost, schedule, and quality constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the scope of work and interfaces within the contract or package of work.
• Secure resources, maintain SQEP, and address personnel shortfalls.
• Develop and execute strategies in line with the Programme Execution Plan.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and execute project strategies.
• Manage issues and risks, update budgets, and escalate as needed.
• Drive delivery to ensure safety, timeliness, budget, and technical requirements are met.
• Coordinate with other programmes for overall project progress and best practices.
• Establish and maintain relationships with project team members.

Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in delivering complex projects, preferably within nuclear or regulated environments, ensuring safety and environmental standards.
• Experience in engineering design, contract, and field execution strategies.
• Stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, and advisors, including NEC contracts.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Project Management frameworks such as APM and Prince2.
• Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, physics, or related fields preferred.
