Job summary

Michael Taylor Search & Selection Ltd is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for a London-based cut & carve project. The role leads delivery from pre-construction through to handover on a £35M commercial scheme.

You will manage the project team, programme, and stakeholders, ensuring financial performance and risk controls are in place, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the £35M commercial cut & carve project from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Lead and manage the project team, providing clear direction across programme, commercial, design, quality and delivery.
• Develop and manage the overall project programme, ensuring key milestones and critical path activities are achieved.
• Coordinate and manage consultants, subcontractors and specialist packages, ensuring effective design and construction integration.
• Work closely with the commercial team to monitor project financial performance, procurement, valuations, variations, costs and commercial risk.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants and key stakeholders, acting as a senior point of contact throughout the project.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, resolving issues and driving solutions to maintain programme and delivery objectives.
• Ensure the highest standards of health & safety, quality and compliance are maintained across the project.
• Lead project meetings, provide regular progress reporting and ensure clear communication across all internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive the project through to successful completion, commissioning, snagging and final handover.
