Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-profile heavy civils and water infrastructure program in Gloucestershire. You will oversee the project lifecycle from ECI through design and site delivery, including tunnelling, deep drainage and multi-utility works.

You will manage senior client relationships, ensure NEC Option C compliance, and drive value with Primavera P6 scheduling and robust cost controls.

Qualifications

About this Role

Senior Project Manager position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead a complex, high-profile infrastructure program in Gloucestershire. You will oversee scheme phases from initial Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) through design, preconstruction, and site delivery of heavy civil engineering works.

Drive project delivery across complex civil infrastructure, tunnelling, multi-utility, and deep drainage operations.

Manage project financial forecasts, cost controls, target cost mechanics, and executive monthly performance reporting.

Lead Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phases, design reviews, site investigations, and procurement schedules.

Establish a collaborative "One Team" culture, managing senior client relationships, framework partners, and site teams.

About You

You are an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of managing major heavy civils and water infrastructure schemes. Your background combines technical civil engineering leadership with strong commercial acumen under NEC Option C contracts.

Hold a recognized Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering alongside CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, and TWC credentials.

Demonstrate extensive experience managing heavy civils, deep drainage, shaft sinking, tunnelling, or complex earthworks.

Possess deep commercial awareness under NEC contracts (Option C), including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.

Show strong capability in construction programming using Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
