We are looking for an experienced and driven Civils Senior Project Manager to manage all civil-related aspects of a District Heating Network (DHN) installation across the Southwest Region.

The role involves planning work zones in line with project programmes, ensuring all works are carried out safely and to high standards, checking and maintaining temporary works, and managing civil subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all civil aspects of the contract(s) with the support of Contracts Managers, M&E Construction Managers, Project Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Planning Managers.
• Attend pre-contract meetings with senior commercial staff.
• Participate in site meetings and provide feedback and progress reports to the management team.
• Maintain construction programmes.
• Involve early in procurement of civil subcontractors.
• Review systems and methods to improve civil performance.
• Address and resolve civil issues during construction.
• Maintain clear communication with subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate work of different trades and subcontractors for a smooth construction process.
• Promote and adhere to company policies on equality and health & safety.
• Engage with your manager for performance reviews and development planning.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff work.

The Person

• Experience in civil project/construction management, preferably in gas, water, drainage, or trench works.
• Experience managing multiple project sites, ideally within a utilities environment.
• Level 6 NVQ in Construction Site Management.
• HND in Construction Management or related disciplines.

Knowledge

• Solid understanding of current internet technologies.
• Experience managing projects, including deep excavations and trench works.
• Knowledge of temporary works management and implementation.
