Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) Limited is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for a c.£20m Life Science/Laboratory project in Cambridgeshire, near Ely. You will lead contract administration and delivery, with NEC/JCT frameworks and client-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-degree experience in a Project Manager role.
• Experience in Life Science or Healthcare sectors is advantageous.
• Proven NEC or JCT contract administration experience.
• Professional chartership or membership (MAPM/MCIOB/MRICS) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of project management, contract administration, and delivery of the project under predominantly NEC and JCT contracts.
• Work in a client facing capacity, ensuring seamless communication, milestone achievement, and delivery on time, within budget, and to exemplary standards.
• Provide strategic counsel to optimise project outcomes across key drivers: cost, schedule, and quality.
• Direct project governance, compliance, and systems implementation across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Education

Degree or MSc in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline

Professional chartership or membership (MAPM/MCIOB/MRICS) desirable

Company & Project: An industry-leading, highly successful national consultancy is seeking a client-facing Senior Project Manager to lead a c£20m specialist Life Science/Laboratory project. Based in Cambridgeshire, this role will oversee an exciting local commercial and scientific project. Backed by key strategic project wins and a robust pipeline, our client is expanding their team to support continuous business growth in the area. The long-term pipeline of work covers multiple projects and an office in Cambridgeshire.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of project management, contract administration, and delivery of the project under predominantly NEC and JCT contracts.
• Work in a client facing capacity, ensuring seamless communication, milestone achievement, and delivery on time, within budget, and to exemplary standards.
• Provide strategic counsel to optimise project outcomes across key drivers: cost, schedule, and quality.
• Direct project governance, compliance, and systems implementation across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Desirable Experience

• 5+ years of post-degree experience in a Project Manager capacity.
• Previous experience working in the Life Science or Healthcare sectors would be highly advantageous.
• Proven track record within a building consultancy setting, including hands-on NEC or JCT contract administration is desirable.
• Driven to progress within a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Relevant Prior Roles: Associate Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Principal Project Manager, or Project Manager.
