Job summary

Innovative project management consultancy in Cambridge is seeking an Associate Project Manager to lead a flagship Life Sciences project valued over £100m. The role requires directing diverse teams, ensuring governance, and delivering high-value outcomes for a major blue-chip client.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years in project management within consultancy or end-client environments, a construction-related degree, and professional chartership (MAPM/MRICS/MCIOB) advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years+ experience as a Project Manager for a Consultancy or End-client.
• Experience in Life Science sector.
• NEC contract administration knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate project activities following governance protocols.
• Interface with clients and consultants to deliver high-value outcomes.
• Maintain health, safety, quality, and risk management standards.
• Define project success metrics: time, cost, specs, KPIs.
• Develop detailed project plans and governance processes.
• Identify resources and advise on procurement strategies.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and maintain productivity.
• Monitor finances and manage change control to protect viability.
• Ensure regular client communications and progress reporting.
