Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex engineering, construction, procurement and regulatory work within a major programme. Based in a hybrid arrangement, with regular attendance at Rolls-Royce SMR locations in Manchester, Warrington or Derby, you will report to a Programme Manager and steer a team of Project Managers through critical milestones.

• A degree in engineering, science, project management or related discipline.
• A project management qualification such as APM PMQ or equivalent.
• Experience delivering large, complex projects and programmes with multiple work packages, budgets and risks.
• Knowledge of PM tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Excel, Power BI or Power Apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple complex engineering, construction, procurement and regulatory projects within a wider programme environment.
• Manage teams of Project Managers, ensuring effective prioritisation, resource allocation and delivery performance.
• Drive project controls across schedule, budget, risk, quality and stakeholder management to achieve programme objectives.
• Report progress, mitigate issues and embed continuous improvement across projects and ways of working.

Operating at the heart of major engineering and infrastructure programmes, the team leads delivery across complex projects, enabling innovation, collaboration and progress towards the deployment of next-generation nuclear technology.In this context, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of critical programme outcomes, reporting to a Programme Manager and leading a team of Project Managers.
