Job summary

Digital Waffle, a leading ecommerce retailer, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver complex technology initiatives across a fast-paced digital environment. Working with Product, Engineering and Delivery teams, you’ll own large-scale programmes from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence and alignment with business goals.

You will also help develop project management capability, mentor other PMs, and drive improvements in delivery processes within an agile

• Proven experience delivering large, complex technology projects.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and governance capabilities.
• Experience working with Product, Engineering and Delivery teams in Agile environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management across technical and business audiences.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence in delivery tooling.

A leading ecommerce retailer is looking for a Senior Project Manager to deliver complex, business-critical technology initiatives across a fast-paced digital environment.

Working closely with Product, Engineering and Delivery teams, you'll take ownership of large-scale programmes from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to business objectives. Alongside leading delivery, you'll play an important role in developing project management capability across the wider team.

Salary:

£75,000 - £90,000

Location:

Hereford (Hybrid - minimum 1 day per week onsite)

What you'll be doing

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology and business change projects.
• Own project scope, timelines, budgets, forecasting and governance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering teams and Technical Leads to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations across multiple workstreams.
• Operate within Agile delivery environments while applying structured project governance and planning.
• Provide regular reporting on project progress, financial performance and delivery milestones.
• Support and mentor other Project Managers, helping improve delivery capability across the team.
• Drive continuous improvements to project delivery processes and ways of working.

What you'll need

• Proven experience delivering large, complex technology projects from initiation through to successful completion.
• Strong experience managing project budgets, governance, forecasting and financial control.
• Experience working closely with Engineering and Product teams within Agile software delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum and iterative software development.
• Previous experience delivering projects within ecommerce, digital retail or customer-facing technology environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong experience managing cross-functional dependencies, risks and competing priorities.
• Hands-on experience using Jira, Confluence and modern project delivery tools.
• Excellent communication skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring or developing Project Managers.
• APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience delivering projects involving customer journeys, checkout, ecommerce platforms or digital transformation.
