Black & Veatch is seeking an Engineering Manager with an electrical background to lead a multi-discipline engineering team in the UK on Grid, Substation and BESS projects. This office-based role includes some travel and a hybrid schedule with two days remote work per week.
You will oversee budgets, schedules and technical output while guiding staff development, ensuring compliance with UK Grid Code and related standards, and maintaining strong client relationships through project execution
Due to continued growth, Black & Veatch are looking to add an Engineering Manager with an electrical background, design and engineering experience to our EMEA team. The role will primarily involve coordinating and managing engineering related to Grid, Substation, and the Balance of Plant for BESS projects, across Medium and High Voltage projects.
As the Senior Project Engineering Manager you’ll manage execution of the engineering components of multiple projects in the U.K., focused on Grid, Substation and BESS projects of varying size and complexity.

This role is office based with some travel to project sites, client or other B&V offices. We work a hybrid schedule with 2 days remote working from home per week.
Acts as an engineering manager with responsibilities of managing engineer activities of projects. Support a Project Manager in client relations, commercial and project-performance-related metrics.
