Nicholas O’Dwyer, a leading engineering consultancy, seeks a Senior Project Engineer Civil/Structural to join the Infrastructure Department and drive design and delivery of major projects across Ireland and the UK. Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc, MEng or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership or professional registration with Engineers Ireland, ICE, IStructE.
• A minimum of seven years’ relevant experience in civil or structural engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge within your chosen discipline (civil infrastructure or structural).
• Experience delivering projects from feasibility through construction support.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, Irish and UK requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the design and delivery of civil and/or structural elements of major infrastructure projects through feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction.
• Develop practical and buildable solutions for roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks and site development (civil).
• Develop safe, efficient and buildable solutions for reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, foundations and retaining structures (structural).
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and tender documents.
• Own projects and design packages, coordinating internal and external resources.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and health and safety obligations.
• Manage programmes, budgets, resources, risks and deliverables.
