Job summary

Civil Engineering Recruitment is supporting a client, a leading UK supplier of temporary works equipment, with a permanent Senior Engineer role focusing on structural and geotechnical design, leading delivery and mentoring.

You will work on Cat 2 and Cat 3 schemes, design bespoke components, supervise graduates, and interface with clients and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil and/or structural engineering or equivalent (BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc).
• Minimum of three years' relevant post-graduate experience.
• Proven ability to design and check structural and geotechnical schemes to a high standard.
• Demonstrable experience leading technically complex engineering projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit and specialist temporary works design software.
• Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex engineering schemes (Cat 2 and Cat3).
• Design bespoke structural and geotechnical products or components.
• Mentor, develop and supervise Graduate and Design Engineers.
• Act as the technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standardsDrive innovation and continuous improvement within the design function
• Support commercial teams with technical advice during project planning and tender stages
• Help shape engineering standards, procedures and best practice across the business
