Senior Project Development Manager – BESS (Battery Storage) and Solar

Leap29 is recruiting on behalf of a company with a strong pipeline of BESS projects across Europe, particularly in the UK.

As a Senior Project Development Manager, you will lead the development of BESS projects across the UK, requiring advanced knowledge of the UK development and interconnection process, including co-development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage BESS development projects and collaborate with partners
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership
• Act as the primary contact for the project team of specialists, consultants, and legal advisors
• Identify new projects to add to the pipeline
• Participate in site visits and community consultation events, representing the company
• Attend stakeholder meetings to ensure project progression
• Stay informed of market developments and industry news to identify risks and opportunities
• Possess expert knowledge of the UK interconnection process and interact with DNOs

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Land, Property, Planning, Environmental Studies, or related discipline
• Over 3 years of relevant experience in utility-scale solar project development and over 5 years in the renewables sector
• Skilled in negotiating land agreements and managing planning processes
• Valid driving license
• Expert knowledge of UK grid interconnection agreements and processes
