Senior Project Development Manager – Solar & Wind

Wiltshire | Full-Time | Competitive Salary (DOE)+ Bonus + Car Allowance

Our client is a leading renewable energy developer backed by one of the sector’s most dynamic investment teams. With a strong portfolio across the UK and beyond, they’re driving the next generation of utility-scale solar, onshore wind, and battery storage.

As they continue to scale, they’re looking for a Senior Project Developer to lead end-to-end delivery of new renewable energy sites—from land acquisition and early feasibility through to planning, grid connection, and construction handover.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify and assess land for large-scale solar and onshore wind projects
• Lead site feasibility including yield analysis, grid access and constraint mapping
• Negotiate land deals and manage legal documentation (Options, Leases, Easements)
• Liaise with DNOs and TOs to secure viable grid connections
• Drive planning applications and manage stakeholder engagement
• Oversee design optimisation and ensure seamless transition into construction
• Manage budgets, track project progress, and report to senior leadership

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:

• 8+ years of renewable energy project development experience
• Strong background in land negotiation, planning processes, and grid interface
• Solid commercial understanding and ability to interpret project economics
• Experience working across both the UK and Irish energy markets
• Self-starter who can manage complexity, solve problems, and adapt as projects evolve
• Full driving license and flexibility to travel as needed
