Job summary

EBRD in London seeks a Principal Banker to lead complex transactions from inception to execution, overseeing due diligence and coordinating with clients, authorities and internal teams. You will manage project teams and drive portfolio monitoring while ensuring high standards of governance and donor compliance.

You will mentor junior bankers, contribute to policy dialogue, and maintain strong client relationships in a dynamic, multinational environment with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in the areas of expertise.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA desirable.
• Strong quantitative skills and ability to interpret financial information and build financial models.
• Credit analysis skills and understanding of accounting principles used in credit analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial modelling modules.

Responsibilities

• Lead structuring, negotiation and execution of transactions with clients and authorities.
• Manage project teams and monitor portfolio performance and reporting.
• Oversee due diligence to meet the Bank's standards and ensure donor requirements are met.
• Support business development and client relationship management across sectors and countries.
• Recruit, coach and mentor junior bankers and ensure high-quality project work.
• Champion the Bank’s values and ethical conduct in daily operations.
