The Vacancy

Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic team managing a varied portfolio of clients. They play a key role in providing market-leading services to our clients and members regarding Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and CARE pension arrangements.

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity to join this department as an Administration Consulting Analyst within our Data Journey team, based in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

The Data Journey Team leads the delivery of pension administration services and projects for our defined benefit and defined contribution clients.

What will your role look like?

You will be instrumental in delivering project work related to member tracing, marital status checks, backfile reviews, data cleansing, dashboard checks, and mail merge activities. You will collaborate with other teams, such as the risk transfer, payroll, and administration teams, to ensure seamless delivery for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with data analysis and project tasks under supervision, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supporting the production of reports as needed.
  • Working closely with various teams to ensure smooth workflow completion.
  • Running data extracts, analyzing data, performing calculations, and preparing reports and letters for review.
  • Following office procedures, documenting communications, and adhering to compliance requirements.
  • Handling ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Responding to emails within delegated authority levels.
  • Performing general administrative duties, including mailing exercises and helpline support.
  • Providing support to team members across all four offices as required.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • GCSE/Scottish Standard (or equivalent) Maths and English or similar qualifications.
  • Experience in an administrative or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of DB pensions and prior project experience.
  • Experience in data collection and input.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with team experience preferred.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
