Job summary

Cubic Transportation Systems in the United Kingdom seeks a project accounting professional to support delegated UK/Europe Contracts. You will work with Commercial, Engineering, Project Management, Bids & Proposals and Finance to provide financial insights and contract compliance.

The role covers budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and month‑end close, coordinating with project managers and intercompany teams. Onsite four days per week, with potential extended duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business from a tertiary institution.
• 3–6 years of project accounting or management accounting experience in a project/services environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support business partnering activities with Program Management or Services teams.
• Assist in the preparation of project financials for approval.
• Communicate with stakeholders on contract documents, changes, and billings.
• Identify opportunities to improve project financial performance and escalate to senior staff.
• Maintain project numbers, budgets, ETCs and other project data in the ERP system.
• Prepare monthly project reports and analysis and assist with monthly/quarterly/annual budgets and SOX controls.
