Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Senior Sponsor (Programme Lead) to drive strategic alignment of investment planning and delivery across our Waste business. The role ensures capital programmes link to business plan commitments and customer/environment outcomes.

You will work across governance, reporting, and analysis to support investment decisions, risk management, and benefits realisation, shaping a joined-up asset planning approach.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex capital delivery or investment programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing at senior levels.
• Proven ability to produce governance papers, reports and business cases.
• Ability to analyse performance data to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Principal Sponsor in day-to-day management of a capital investment programme.
• Review project performance across scope, cost, schedule, quality and risk.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to support investment decisions.
• Produce governance papers, reports and business cases.
• Challenge assumptions and identify delivery improvements.
• Collaborate with Capital Delivery, Engineering, Operations, Finance and Commercial teams to drive success.
• Support risk, issue and change management across the portfolio.
• Monitor benefits realisation and ensure investment objectives are achievable.
• Prepare clear updates for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
