Pace is seeking a Senior Programme Specialist to lead operational, governance, and delivery activities for complex R&D programmes with ARIA. You will work with Programme Directors and Science & Technology Leads to establish robust controls and drive delivery across multiple workstreams, managing risks, budgets, and executive reporting.

You will liaise with Programme Teams, PMO, Finance, Legal and external partners, ensuring timely decisions and successful outcomes across the full programme

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of total programme management experience, including 2–3+ years leading complex, multi-workstream initiatives (£10M+ scale preferred).
• Proven track record leading long-term initiatives end-to-end, from scoping and setup of controls to closure.
• Experience in startup or high-stakes settings leading risk/issue management, tolerance setting, dependency mapping, and financial controls.
• Exceptional executive communication and briefing skills, with demonstrated influence on senior leaders and governance boards.
• Strategic ownership and decisive problem-solving to turn abstract strategy into operational delivery.
• Aptitude for driving operational efficiency through AI and process automation with governance compliance.
• Experience in related sectors (R&D, science, technology, government, or innovation funding) is desirable.

Aufgaben

• End-to-End Leadership across complex, multi-workstream R&D programmes, accountable for delivery against outcomes, timelines, budget, and risk.
• Co-design programme frameworks, establish evaluation criteria, oversee progress reviews, and drive performance against milestones with PDs and leads.
• Apply proactive RAID and dependency management, identify risks early, and intervene to ensure course corrections or terminations when needed.
• Maintain RAID, change control, audit-ready compliance, and track spend with Finance Specialists; provide governance insights to PMO.
