Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a seasoned Project Director to join our Northern team and lead complex energy, infrastructure and decarbonisation programmes. You will be accountable for client relationships, programme delivery and governance, across projects potentially valued up to £30m.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, shape strategy, drive safety, and identify opportunities for growth while supporting bids and mobilisation activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex projects or portfolios valued up to £30m.
• Strong commercial acumen, including governance of commercial and financial aspects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and third‑party contractors.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Understanding of the full EPC lifecycle from IGA/design through commissioning and M&V.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience operating at senior leadership and client board level.
• Experience implementing governance, systems and processes in growing organisations.
• Genuine passion for Net Zero, sustainability and energy/carbon reduction.
• Engineering/construction degree and APM qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead major programmes and portfolio performance across cost, time, quality and safety.
• Develop and own the programme strategy, manage inter‑project dependencies.
• Provide governance across commercial, financial, operational and risk performance.
• Maintain oversight of project financials and governance across delivery.
• Coach Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to improve delivery.
