Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Trieste is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to deliver Fire, Security, BMS, HVAC or Integration projects for our customer base. You will manage projects to time, scope and budget while maintaining safety and quality.

You will work with Sales, Engineering and Program Management to maximise customer satisfaction and drive additional business. You will monitor financial performance, prepare forecasts and reports, and ensure availability of tools and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for delivering & managing projects on time and to budget ensuring risk is managed effectively.
  • Indirect management responsibility for Honeywell employees and subcontractors working on the project.
  • Ensure delivery of agreed projects to customers on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Working closely with Sales, Engineering & Program Management to ensure customer satisfaction leading to successful projects and additional business from customers.
  • Ownership for financial performance of projects. Monitoring of financial performance on a regular basis and reviews available to spend versus actual. Regularly updates cost to complete and reports accordingly.
  • Provide accurate commercial forecasts and reports on current projects
  • Ensures the availability of tools, equipment, and materials required for a project.
  • Actively supports the implementation and compliance of productivity enhancing processes related to project delivery, taking ownership to implant these in his or her own scope of responsibility.
  • Lead and manage projects team in the effective adoption, implementation and compliance with policies, processes, procedures, and business best practices.
  • Management of customer's delivery requirements
  • Maintains customer's satisfaction at acceptable levels and resolves customer satisfaction issues.
  • Reviews project related customer feedback and takes appropriate proactive actions.
  • Conducts regular project progress reviews with customers & stakeholder Knowledge of project management methodology, experience of working in both building site and operational buildings.
  • Experience in project delivery in the built environment.
  • Good understanding of financial processes (revenue recognition, cost control, etc…)
  • Supervisory knowledge with demonstrated ability to lead a virtual team
  • Financial Skills - The ability to understand financial data at project level and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved.
  • Operational Analysis - The ability to obtain relevant information on operational issues from multiple sources, think broadly about those issues and recognize trends/possible cause-effect relationships.
  • Decision Making - The ability to make considered and effective decisions and take clear action to address issues.
  • Execution - The ability to mobilize resources and develop and implement action plans / control mechanisms to achieve desired results and deliver on commitments.

Job description

We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager to deliver projects to our existing customer base, either directly or through their preferred contracting route. The applicant should have a demonstrable history of delivering Fire, Security, BMS, HVAC or Integration projects. Projects to be delivered on-time, to the customer's satisfaction and on budget. A priority of the role is to ensure the safety of the engineering teams and sub-contractors ensuring all relevant H&S processes are followed. Communications skills, information management and influencing skills are necessary to deliver projects in a timely manner at planned gross margins, leveraging tools, processes and best practices.
