Job summary

PrepWorld, one of the UK's largest fresh cut fruit suppliers, is seeking a Production Senior Supervisor to lead a team of 400+ on site at peak times. You will deputise for the Shift Manager and drive performance, people development, and continuous improvement.

You will supervise daily plans, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory standards, manage rotas and agency staff, and deliver profitable production cycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in food manufacturing.
• Understanding of operational P&L and able to communicate direction.
• HACCP L3 certified and knowledge of food safety standards.
• Experience supervising 50+ staff and developing talent.
• Proficient in Excel and data handling.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shift Manager to complete the production plan for finished product and WIP within budget.
• Ensure safety, legality and quality standards are met across the shift.
• Implement daily operational plans to hit production targets.
• Achieve KPIs set by the Shift Manager and drive performance improvements.
• Cross-check attendance systems and manage discrepancies.
• Mentor and develop Supervisors; conduct performance reviews.
• Maintain rotas and time & attendance processes as required.
• Ensure agency staff levels and timesheets are accurate and on time.
• Deliver production plans and allocate resources across departments.
• Maximise output by efficient staff allocation and role rotation.
• Lead investigations with HR support and drive disciplinary meetings.
• Attend daily meetings with Production Management & Planning.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within costs and specs.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimise business outcomes.
• Lead CI initiatives and promote the company Ways of Working.
• Deputise for Shift Manager as needed.
