Job summary

Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco company, is seeking a Senior Production Planner in Ashbourne to translate demand into practical production plans. You’ll balance capacity, labour, materials, quality and logistics while guiding a planning team through data-led decision making and risk management.

You’ll collaborate across Operations, Customer Service, Procurement, Quality and Formulation to protect service levels and drive improvements in schedule adherence and downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, supply planning or manufacturing scheduling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience working within a complex manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Ability to translate customer demand into practical, executable production plans.
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders and functions to influence outcomes and resolve challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, executable production plans that balance customer demand, capacity, labour, raw materials, quality, formulation and logistics.
• Translate demand and confirmed customer requirements into clear production priorities for Operations.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Demand Planning, Material Planning, Procurement, Formulation, Quality, Production, Warehouse, Transport and external supply points.
• Monitor risks to the production plan and coordinate rapid replanning when required.
• Support short, medium and long-term capacity planning and IBP cycle visibility.
• Protect customer service by balancing priorities and making risks and trade-offs visible.
• Maintain planning data, reporting and governance standards to improve schedule adherence and reduce downtime.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Production Planners and drive continuous improvement.
