Job summary

Proman in the East Yorkshire region is seeking an experienced Production Manager or Senior Production Supervisor to lead production operations and drive performance. The role focuses on planning, labour management, quality, health & safety and continuous improvement within a hands-on leadership framework.

You will work closely with senior management to deliver against production schedules, develop the team, and ensure a proactive approach to safety and quality across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Senior Production Supervisor
• Experience leading teams in manufacturing/production environments
• Strong production planning and resource management experience
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to drive performance while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proactive, hands-on management style
• Experience supporting employee development and continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities to meet schedules
• Plan labour and resources to meet operational requirements
• Monitor output, productivity and performance targets
• Lead daily team briefings and maintain clear communication
• Identify and resolve production issues impacting delivery deadlines
• Ensure materials, equipment and resources are available
• Manage attendance, performance and development
• Support training and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety and operational compliance
• Produce operational updates and report progress to senior management
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve production objectives
