Our client is a well established manufacturing company who are currently in the market for an experienced Senior Production Manager.

The successful Production Manager will manage the production facility ensuring the optimisation of throughput and efficiency, while minimising waste and ensuring customer expectations are met on time and in full.

Responsibilities:

• Manage production and scheduling activities in accordance with customer requirements.
• Control production costs to budgeted limits and devise systems to effectively manage work in progress levels.
• Management of production staff, including training, appraisal, grievance, and disciplinary activity and instil a proactive, team oriented culture
• Set clear objectives for the production team including supervisors with respect to volume, cost, quality and meeting schedules and delivery dates.
• Report regularly to the Operations Manager on all aspects of production and product quality.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety requirements

Criteria:

• Previous experience as Production Manager within a heavy manufacturing environment
• Proficient in MS Office
• Good organisation, problem solving, and analytical skills
• Experience of implementing lean / continuous improvement systems would be highly advantageous

Salary is in the region of £50-55k depending upon experience.
