Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Technician / Production Engineer for a newly created role in Hixon, Staffordshire. The position offers a four-day working week with Fridays off, and a path toward Production Management.

You will own manufacturing problems, drive improvements, and support new products across sheet metal and related processes. The role spans investigation, root-cause analysis, and practical engineering changes to improve productivity, quality, and cost on a high-mix

Qualifications

• Background in Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Experience delivering manufacturing or process improvements and supporting new products into production.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve manufacturing, process and equipment-related problems.
• Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Improve manufacturing processes, productivity, quality and cost.
• Support new product and process introduction onto the shop floor.
• Help establish methods, tooling, fixtures and work instructions.
• Support initial builds, trials and process validation.
