Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Production and Manufacturing Engineer in Hixon, Staffordshire, to own practical engineering problems on the shop floor. This role offers a 4-day week and progression toward Production Management with direct exposure to senior management.

The successful candidate will design and modify jigs, fixtures, tooling and manufacturing aids, produce CAD drawings, and work closely with production to implement solutions that improve manufacturability, efficiency and

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in sheet metal, fabrication, or machining.
• Experience designing or modifying jigs, fixtures, tooling or equipment.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings using CAD.
• Strong understanding of practical manufacturing methods.
• Comfort working with production operators to implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engineer solutions to shop-floor problems from concept to implementation.
• Design and modify jigs, fixtures, tooling and manufacturing aids.
• Produce CAD models and engineering/manufacturing drawings.
• Work with operators to develop practical manufacturing solutions.
• Improve manufacturability, quality and efficiency of processes.
• Support trials and new tooling production methods.
• Investigate recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.
• Assist with machinery maintenance and external engineering support.
