Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an Engineering Technician / Production Engineer in Hixon, Staffordshire, to own manufacturing improvements in a busy sheet metal environment.

You will investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement practical actions, while supporting new products and processes onto the shop floor with the right tooling, methods and controls. A 4-day week is offered with a Friday off, and a clear path to Production Management.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering manufacturing or process improvements.
• Ability to take ownership and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve manufacturing, process and equipment-related problems.
• Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Improve manufacturing processes, productivity, quality and cost.
• Support new product and process introduction onto the shop floor.
• Develop jigs, fixtures, tooling and work instructions.
• Work with operators to resolve issues and verify improvements.
• Take improvements from problem to measurable results.
