NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Senior Production Engineer to join a well established, global brand specialising within the Motorsport sector.

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm / Friday: 7:30am - 3:30pm

Job Description:

Our client are seeking a motivated individual to join our Manufacturing Team as a Senior Production Engineer.

The Role:

• Design/develop and implement new production methods/jigs/fixtures to support the NPI process.


• Create CNC programs for 3, 4 & 5 axis and mill-turn machines via NX CAM & Vericut.


• Manage the effective release of new products into Production.


• Implement new cutting technologies to improve existing production methods.


• Produce and maintain associated documentation such as Process Instructions, Test Instructions & BOM contents for all product builds.


• Assist with the implementation of staff training programs.


• Manage cost containments.


• Estimating production times & costs.


• Checking BOM’s for structure & content.


• Work with supply chain on potential cost reduction programs.


• Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.


• Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrable experience of programming complex (Automotive or Aerospace) components using a CAD/CAM system, ideally NX.


• Apprentice trained, and achieved a relevant engineering qualification (HNC or higher).


• Demonstrable experience in fixture design with a strong understanding of GD&T.


• A logical approach to problem solving, root cause analysis and countermeasure.


• Strong planning and organization skills, embracing change.


• Experience in the use of Vericut & SAP ERP system would be advantageous.
