Join us as a Senior Production Engineer at Crown Holdings, Inc.

We are seeking a talented Senior Production Engineer based in Shipley, reporting to the Lead Production Engineer. This role involves providing technical support across the business and to customers, making key technical decisions, reviewing new products for manufacturing, preparing quotations, and leading capital investment projects when needed. The Senior Production Engineer will also stand in for the Lead Engineer and handle delegated tasks.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Solid understanding of metal working processes and material properties.
• Proficiency in offline and online programming (G-code), manufacturing methods, tooling, and setup sheets.
• Experience with 3D CAD and CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Alpha CAM, Mazatrol, Heidenhain) and NC simulation tools (Vericut, Veri-prog, Mazak Smooth, Heidenhain TNC).
• Experience in engineered part manufacture, selecting manufacturing methods, tooling, and calculating speeds and feeds.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and lead small projects with detailed timing plans.
• Proficiency in machine controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Mazak.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

• Formal technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Level 3 or equivalent).
• Formal management training is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, team-oriented, and willing to share knowledge.
