Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company, UTTOXETER, UK, is seeking a Senior Production Chemist to oversee gravimetrically prepared calibration gases within accredited ISO 6142/17034 processes. You will manage cylinder records and act as a Flam/Ox signatory, ensuring safe gas mixtures and procedures.

The role includes deputising for the Production Manager and coordinating priorities, plus liaising on gas orders and stock. Strong IT skills and science background are essential.

Qualifications

• A- level minimum in a science discipline.
• Experience with gas cylinder handling and high pressure gas control equipment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and bespoke software systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce gravimetrically prepared calibration gases and reference materials per ISO 6142 and 17034.
• Maintain cylinder control database and production records.
• Act as Flam/Ox approved signatory and verify gas mixture safety.
• deputise for the Production Manager and coordinate departmental priorities.
• Liaise with Production Manager on ordering and stock control of gases and related materials.
