Job summary

Galaxy seeks a Senior Product Security Engineer to secure microservices and cloud apps, reporting to the Director of Product Security. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product and Infrastructure to design and deliver secure software for a fast-growing platform.

Requirements include 5+ years in product or cloud security, threat modeling, risk assessment, and strong communication. Desirable: security or cloud certifications and familiarity with crypto domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or post-graduate diploma in cybersecurity or technology.
• 5 years work experience in product security, application security, cloud security, or security features.
• Threat modeling, risk assessment, controls review.
• Programming languages.
• Managing SAST, DAST, SCA, and helping engineers with vulnerabilities.
• In-depth understanding of authentication/authorization, TLS, PKI and cloud security.
• Strong analysis, detail orientation and communication skills.
• Security or cloud certifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in secure software design and code reviews.
• Develop and review test plans to ensure security coverage.
• Mitigate findings, assess impacts, propose solutions and guide implementations.
• Provide expertise on cloud application and infrastructure security design patterns.
• Deliver training and thought leadership for secure development practices.
• Review and improve authentication, authorization and data access controls.
• Research and propose advanced security patterns (e.g., MPC, multi-signature).
