Our Technical Platforms team is growing! We're looking for a Senior Product Owner to join our team, providing support, knowledge, and guidance cross-functionally. As a Senior Product Owner, you will manage relationships across the business and work closely with our technical engineers to ensure robust and fit-for-purpose operations systems.

As a passionate Senior Product Owner, you will collaborate across the business to gather information, define business requirements, and make commercial decisions to prioritize the product roadmap. Your expertise will help build successful user cases and product features with a focus on user experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

1. Defining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
2. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for backend integration projects.
3. Working closely with development teams to implement event-driven microservices architecture on AWS.
4. Coordinating with other Product Owners and stakeholders to manage dependencies and ensure a cohesive end-to-end eCommerce solution.
5. Reviewing and assessing backend integration performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
6. Delivering backend integration projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
7. Continuously improving the event-driven microservices architecture on AWS.
8. Ensuring stability, scalability, and reliability of backend integrations.
9. Maximizing the business value and impact of backend initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

• Experience as a Product Owner in a technical environment.
• Experience in software development, especially backend integrations and microservices architecture.
• Experience implementing event-driven microservices, preferably in eCommerce.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and prioritization skills.
• AWS certification or equivalent experience (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with eCommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of API design principles like REST or GraphQL.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days/week at GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
